A reverb plugin can present thirty controls, and most people set three of them and choose a preset for the rest. That is a reasonable survival strategy and it caps how good your mixes can get, because the parameters that separate reverb-that-sounds-like-a-room from reverb-that-sounds-like-a-plugin are mostly in the other twenty-seven.
