By accessing soundb.org, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms of Use, and agree to be bound by them along with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.

Soundb is an independent audio technology and music publication. We provide editorial content including news articles, gear reviews, product specifications, music coverage, and related information. Our content is created by our editorial team and is for informational and editorial purposes only.
Nothing on soundb.org constitutes professional advice of any kind. Gear recommendations, reviews, and scores reflect the editorial opinion of Soundb's writers and should not be the sole basis for purchasing decisions.
Soundb also operates Soundb Learn, a paid subscription service offering audio production and engineering lessons, and a wallet facility used to pay for it. Sections 10 through 13 of these Terms govern that part of the service specifically, in addition to the general terms below.
You may access and use soundb.org for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to our content and quote brief excerpts with proper attribution to Soundb and a link to the original article.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the site for any user who violates these terms.
All content on soundb.org — including but not limited to articles, reviews, scores, photographs, graphics, illustrations, design, and code — is the property of Soundb or its content suppliers and is protected under Indian copyright law and applicable international treaties.
The Soundb name, logo, and all related marks are proprietary to Soundb. You may not use them without prior written consent.
Brief quotations from our content for purposes of commentary, criticism, or news reporting are permitted under the doctrine of fair dealing under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, provided that clear attribution to Soundb is given and a link to the original content is included.
Reproduction of full articles, reviews, or substantial portions of our content — in any medium — requires our prior written permission. To request syndication or reproduction rights, contact us at legal@soundb.org.
If you submit any content to us — including feedback, comments, letters, or suggestions — you grant Soundb a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, and publish that content in any medium.
You represent that any content you submit is your own, does not infringe any third-party rights, and does not violate any applicable law. We reserve the right to remove or not publish any content at our sole discretion.
Soundb contains links to third-party websites and services, including streaming platforms, product retailers, and social media. These links are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement of those sites or their content.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
Soundb's content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our editorial content, we do not warrant that:
Gear reviews and scores reflect the subjective editorial opinion of our reviewers based on their testing at a specific point in time. Soundb is not responsible for purchasing decisions made based on our content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Soundb and its editors, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, soundb.org or its content.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if Soundb has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any matter that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Soundb, its editors, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of soundb.org, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Soundb Learn is offered as a paid subscription (currently "Learn Plus" and "Mentor"), purchased and automatically renewed using balance held in your Soundb Wallet ("Wallet").
The Wallet is a closed-loop stored value facility provided solely for the purchase of Soundb's own products and services. It is not a bank account, prepaid payment instrument, debit card, credit card, digital wallet, or payment service, and Wallet balances do not constitute deposits with a bank or financial institution. The Wallet may only be used for transactions on soundb.org and cannot be used for transactions with any third party.
Only registered Soundb users may hold and use a Wallet. You are responsible for ensuring the information on your account remains accurate and up to date. Where a registered user is a minor, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising use of the Wallet and any transactions made on that account.
Wallet balance may be used only to purchase Soundb's own products and services — currently, Soundb Learn subscriptions and their recurring renewals. You shall not:
Getting your own money back out of the Wallet is handled as a refund under Section 12, not as a cash withdrawal of the balance itself.
Wallet balance does not earn interest. As of the date of these Terms, Wallet balance does not expire, though the Company may introduce an expiry or other change to this feature at its discretion, as with any Wallet feature under Section 15 below ("Changes to These Terms" applies equally to the Wallet). We may temporarily restrict access to a Wallet where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, security incidents, payment disputes, or legal compliance matters.
Wallet balance may be added only through payment methods we accept. We may prescribe minimum or maximum funding limits, and a maximum standing Wallet balance, at our discretion; current limits are shown at the point of adding funds.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or reverse any funding transaction we suspect involves fraud, unauthorised activity, a payment dispute, a regulatory concern, or a technical error.
A Learn subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle by debiting the price of your plan from your Wallet balance. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your account; a subscription with auto-renewal off simply lapses at the end of the period already paid for.
If your Wallet balance is insufficient on the renewal date, we will retry the charge for a limited period once you add funds, during which your subscription is marked past due but access continues; if the balance is not made up within that window, the subscription lapses and access ends. We will email you when a renewal cannot be collected and again before the grace period ends.
Submission of a refund request does not create any automatic right to receive a refund. We reserve the right to approve or reject refund requests in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
Where a refund is approved, it shall ordinarily be processed to the original payment method used for the relevant transaction. Where that is not reasonably possible, we may, at our discretion, process the refund by an alternative method, including a bank transfer to an account held in your own name.
Before processing a refund by an alternative method, we may require such information, confirmations, or supporting documents as we reasonably consider necessary to verify your identity, your authority to receive the refund, and your ownership of the destination account, and to prevent fraud or regulatory non-compliance. We may reject, defer, or cancel a refund request where requested verification is not completed to our satisfaction.
Where the registered user is a minor, an approved refund may be processed to the parent, legal guardian, or another person authorised to act on the minor's behalf, after any verification we consider appropriate.
Adding funds to your Wallet is not itself a taxable supply — it creates stored value, not a purchase. GST is charged, and a tax invoice issued, when that balance is actually used to purchase or renew a Learn subscription. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to purchases made through the Wallet; we collect and remit GST as required by law, and our GST registration details appear on every invoice we issue.
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
We encourage you to contact us at legal@soundb.org before initiating any formal dispute, as most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time, including the sections governing Subscriptions, the Wallet, Payments, Refunds, and Taxes. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify newsletter subscribers. Your continued use of soundb.org after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
